tools

Prepare the tools that you will need: plastic squeegee,
masking tape, tape measure or ruler. If you don't have a
plastic squeegee a credit card will do, but you will have to
be extra careful.

vinyl graphics

Make sure to clean the surface so that there is no dust
or residue. Any dust, residue or even an eyelash will
create an unsighlty bubble in the vinyl. The best way to
clean the surface is to use a soft lint free cotton cloth
and some rubbing alcohol.

measure vinyl

Align the vinyl graphics. Vinyl graphics with weed borders
are much easier to line up because the corners are square
making the top and bottom edges level. If you do not have
a weed border, measure the base and the top of the
letters. Be aware that some letters descend or acend more
than others. For example, the lower case "e" descends
lower than the letter "h".

apply tape

Once you have the graphics positioned properly, secure
the placement by taping along one edge of the panel,
typically along the top or the botton. If you are applying
the graphics to a window it will be easier to tape along
the bottom and allow the top of the panel to drop down.

flip vinyl graphics over

Flip the panel over.

remove release liner

From one corner, slowly begin removing the wax
release liner. Make sure it does not pull any of the vinyl
off with it. Be careful to keep holding the panel up. If a
part of the panel touches the surface it will stick. You
could ruin the graphics and have to buy a new panel.

laying down the vinyl

Pull the panel taut to adher the vinyl all at once.

hold the vinyl taut

Hold the panel taut until the entire panel is laying on
the surface.

squeegee graphics

The squeegee pushes the air out so that the adhesive on
the vinyl can adhere to the surface. Start from the center
of the panel working your way out to avoid bubbles or
ripples in the vinyl.

remove transfer tape

Slowly remove the transfer sheet. If you do this too
fast it could pull up the vinyl and ruin the graphics.

applied vinyl

Finished! Let the adhesive cure for about 3 days before cleaning or whiping it.
